We know UK maternity care can feel confusing. The words are unfamiliar, appointments move quickly, and it is not always easy to ask questions or feel heard. The latest MBRRACE-UK reports show Black women remain nearly three times more likely, and Asian women around twice as likely, to die during or shortly after pregnancy than white women. Behind those numbers are experiences of not being listened to, language barriers, and care that is not tailored to the person in front of it. We exist to help close that gap.
